Juhani Pallasmaa / Visual Identity / 2026

The Nils Erik Wickberg Lectures is an annual architecture event funded by the Wickberg Foundation and hosted by the Department of Architecture at Aalto University in Helsinki. The 2026 edition celebrated the 90th birthday and international legacy of Juhani Pallasmaa, an acclaimed architect, writer, professor, and former head of the department. In addition to his profound architectural and theoretical influence, Pallasmaa is also highly recognized for his extensive lifelong work in graphic design, custom typography, and exhibition layouts.

I was chosen as the official designer for this edition after winning the university's anonymous visual identity competition. Following the selection, I was responsible for the creative direction and full development of the event's design materials. The project included designing the official lecture logo, promotional posters scaled for multiple formats, the event brochure, presentation templates, and a complete rollout of social media assets to promote the symposium across digital channels.
